MOLDAVITE (aka Vltavin in Czech Republic)

Moldavite is a natural glass that has a unique formation behind it. Moldavite is technically a Tektite, which is a group of impact glasses formed by meteorite impacts.

There are many theories behind moldavite and some are that it was formed from the heat from an asteroid impact around 14-15 million years ago in the area today known as the Czech Republic.

As stated above moldavite comes mainly from Czech Republic and is found primarily in areas along the Rise and Steinem craters. Pieces were displaced across what is now Czech Republic, Germany, as well as some small parts of Austria. Most of the moldavite hardened in the air before impact. A significant portion of it fell into the southern areas of the Czech Republic.

The meaning, benefits and healing properties of Moldavite

Moldavite is also called “The Holy Grail Stone” and has a high vibration and intense frequency. It’s also nicknamed “The Stone Of Transformation” as it’s an amazing transformation crystal.

Many people consider moldavite to have come to Earth to help the planet rise above its current state. This is why moldavite is used heavily for healing rituals of the earth chakra. In addition, moldavite is a good stone that is used for those who want to magnify the vibrations of their other types of crystals.

It is believed that moldavite has metaphysical properties that enable you to surpass time. For that reason, many individuals find the stone useful when they would like to engage in a past life or explore the path that their soul is taking in any direction of time. Healers use moldavite to assist with removing emotions and clear the aura of any undesirable baggage from a past life.

Moldavite is believed to raise a sense of self-awareness and assist people who are looking to uncover emotions or feelings which keep them stuck in unhappy situations in the present. Those people will be able to uncover those things that are trapping them in an unhappy present and move forward.

How To Use Moldavite?

Moldavite has several spiritual metaphysical properties. These include:

-its powerful energy to help with spiritual awakening, transformation and spiritual healing. However, it is not always simple to use.

-its strong energy to assist you with connecting with the Divine mind. This helps with moving you forward spiritually to a higher level.

When you pick up a moldavite for the first time, the most common reaction is a tingling in your hand, which then spreads out into the body. Frequently, the reaction is then felt in the chest, in the vicinity of the heart chakra, and then your face as an intense heat flush. This is called ”the moldavite flush”. That being said, don’t be alarmed if you feel nothing at first or if you get very strong symptoms. When byuying my first piece years ago (I started with a little bit too large piece, I have to admit) I felt very dizzy and so nauseous that I almost threw up and my face was as red as a cooked lobster. I had to sit down and wait for the feeling to pass. Nowadays I get hardly any sensations as I have gotten used to this beautiful crystal’s energy. But at first it may feel like getting kissed by a freight train.

The vibration of this crystal stimulates your auric field strongly. This means many people feel an intense heat when they wear a moldavite crystal or even hold it for the first time. As well, it is common for it to give you a reaction when you first use it, such as dizziness as well as feeling sort of odd or somewhat different to normal. Exactly what happened to me…

The metaphysical properties of moldavite are powerful and not everyone finds these stones comfortable to use. So begin slowly. A rather unpleasant fact of the Moldavite market: fakes and forgeries

Lastly I would like to inform you that moldavite is getting rarer and rarer and this has caused in quite a rise in prices. The prices for good quality crystals can easily start from 30€/ gram today and the prices just get higher and higher. Usually the bigger the crystal the higher the price per gram because bigger pieces are much more rarer than small pieces.

The rarity and the increasing price has led to a very unpleasant phenomenon: FAKE moldavite. Be aware when buying your moldavite, especially online, there are tons of fakes on the market. Authentic moldavites come practically ALWAYS from Czech Republic! If you see some cheapish ”moldavites” for sale that come from China, India, Thailand etc., you can be almost certain that they are not the real deal.
